Wow Card!

Oddly enough, most of my professional experience is in leadership from Waffle House as a previous Unit Manager. This is where I learned all of my soft skills and a lot of key things about the "real world." I do feel that I can talk to anyone because of this added touch to my background. It's strange how parallel the education world is to working for Waffle House. People look at you like you are out of your mind for working with people of very different walks of life like "Waffle-onians" the same way they look at you for working with children full time. It's interesting and I find both to be very similar and very rewarding in their own ways. Neither one of these roles is for the faint of heart.

• Oversaw operations for 17–22 Associates; earned multiple company awards:

• Revitalized three underperforming stores, achieving double-digit sales increases from double digit sales decreases in all three units.
  
  
• Recognized by upper management as top recruiter and trainer, maintaining an 80% employee retention rate year-round.
  
  
• Managed weekly accounting, payroll, and health documentation.
  
  
• Conducted inventory of dry, frozen, and refrigerated goods three times weekly; and ordered trucks based on this constantly current inventory count.
  
  
• Utilized camera review and coaching to reinforce food cost efficiency.
  
  
• Implemented localized marketing initiatives, including a coupon partnership with Hamrick’s to drive recurring business.
  
  
• Successfully trained manager trainees who later graduated top of their class at Waffle House University.
